Dodgeville Information Center

In 2002, Dodgeville opened its new Visitor Information Center. Now visitors to the community that’s at the heart of Iowa County and beautiful Southwest Wisconsin have a resource to help them learn more about the area.
Travelers can get brochures, maps and advice at the new Area Information Center located at 338 North Iowa Street, in Dodgeville. It shares space with the Chamber of Commerce and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., seven days a week, May through October, and during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, November through April.
If you’re anticipating coming to the Dodgeville area, you can get tourist information in advance, by calling the Dodgeville Area Visitors Information Line at 608 935-5993 or the toll-free number at: 877 TO DODGE.
If you have internet access, you can visit the Dodgeville area website first at www.dodgeville.com. It’s a very complete source of community information for vacationers, prospective residents, and others. Mural Captures Area Sites
The lobby of the Dodgeville Visitors Center is the home of a new mural by local artist Alicia Rheal. The eight feet high by thirteen feet wide mural depicts historic and contemporary landmarks in Iowa County. All are depicted in a background of typical area scenery. The project was funded by a grant from Point of Beginnings Heritage area and private donations. Stop in during open hours and see if you can identify the various sites celebrated in this piece.
